Ugh, can our S and C staff please get it together (half-joking)? Second straight year with pitching and now we've got position players falling. Meanwhile, when have you ever seen Goldschmidt or Arenado have to go on the IL?

What an odd start to the year as it relates to injuries

Several key position players (Taylor, Urias + Winker) as well as starters (Woodruff, Ashby) & bullpen arms (Houser) 

I’m curious to know how good this team could be if healthy - we may never know

I’m severely bummed with Woody’s injury … not sure he will contribute much this year - huge loss & darn near impossible for us to overcome 

Not sure any of our top prospects - that we’d be willing to trade - could land us a comparable starter

No, unless we're trading Chourio (we're not), we're not going to be replacing Woody on a one for one basis. Best thing we could do is find another starter with good stuff to add to the mix and hope we can enhance their performance due to our pitcher development system. Someone like Mitch Keller from the Pirates, for example. That's been the Rays model with Tyler Glasnow out for the better part of the last two years. 

The hope would be that Woody then come back around the all-star break/deadline and be like an ace trade deadline acquisition.

Wiemer is incredible on defense. Hope he starts hitting. He's hit some that have ended up at the edge of the warning track the past couple of games.
