I love Garrett Mitchell, but he's going to have to do something about that 40% K rate or he's going to suffer the same fate as Joey Wiemer and Keston Hiura soon enough.

Good news is he's played in less than 45 games in the majors and he struck out only 17% of the time on rehab, but it's definitely something to monitor going forward. Should have a good few games to see where he is at the plate once we clinch.

Mitchell has already adjusted his swing to get to some of his raw power and I’m optimistic he’ll continue to adjust to making more contact.

Outside of Chourio, Mitchell is the most talented player in the organization and the only concern I have is him staying on the field.

Yeah. I'm sure he'll continue to make adjustments going forward. Right now, I'm interested in seeing where he is at the plate and if we can rely on him to do more than pinch run and field in the postseason.

I like speed off the bench, defense, ability to get a bunt down. He has all of these qualities which is good for playoff baseball. But yep would like to see a little more contact. We'll see what they do here.

I am completely in a wait and see on him. I don’t feel the same excitement that some on here do. I think this team has the best speed I’ve ever seen on a Brewers’ team, and if that is all he is bringing, I’m not sure he’s worth the roster spot. Hopefully I can see him hit this week, and give CC my approval if and when he asks me to sign off.

The Results didn't show it, but he did start massacring a few more balls at Nashville towards the end of his stint. More frequent hard contact

Also encouraging that he did not strike out on his final 18 plate appearances.

I’m a big Mitchell fan but didn’t realize his strikeout numbers were so huge. I still really like what he brings though which is a little bit of everything - speed, power, exceptional defense, etc.

He also seems to be someone who thrives on the big moments... he just finds a way to impact important games

Also important to note that while Joey Wiemer is exceptional in Center Field, as is Blake Perkins... Mitchell is a step up again, he's Brenton Doyle levels of outfield coverage
