Can we get undercover ace Freddy back please?

Needs to keep his fastball up higher to make use of its movement, as well as keep that slider in zone a little more. It's either too far out and being spat on, or being hit when he hangs, it. his best season (2021) he was dotting it on the outside corner

when people are making contact with Gausman, they're hitting him HARD. The issue is the sheer number of chases he forces down in the zone with his splitter, if the Brewers can wait that out and get on the fastball, they can rack up some runs. If not, it's strikeout season

I have him on a fantasy team, and will bench him only because whenever I have done so with Burnes and Miley, they have great games.  Freddy is benched, once again, taking one for the team.

The Royals also have two days off in a row.  These are the only two teams I think have more than one day off not counting the All Star break.

They have another two day off day coming up before their series with the Cubs in London at the end of July.

Amazing that Burnes has an 84 ERA- and 105 FIP- and there have been 2 SP that have been bigger disappointments than him this season.

My guess is that this is related to Memorial Day. The Royals-Cardinals series is one of those home and home rivalry series which are usually two games each. Like the Brewers- Twins games this year, those two game series are often on Tuesday and Wednesday with off days  on either side. Maybe the Cardinals preferred a home game on Memorial Day and had the series set there.

This team is horrible at watching fastballs go down the center of the plate.  If it is a fastball and it is going down the center of the plate you need to be swinging at it.  I don't care if the count what the count is.  If the pitcher is going to give you a nice pitch to swing at swing at it.

The number of infield hit, ground balls finding gaps, and doubles down the line in this series has been so frustrating.

I know Winker and Voit get a lot of blame…..and rightfully so……but I can’t believe how bad Taylor has been…….hard to watch.

I seriously wonder if the Brewers just rushed him back too soon because of all the OF injuries and Perkins looking so overwhelmed in the MLB. He didn't have any spring training and only played 5 rehab assignment games in AAA. He's never been an amazing player but he's also never looked this bad for this long before.

I thought the rehab stint was short as well, but he was hitting right away down there, but at this point it's a concern as he has gotten comparable ABs or more than Winker and Voit. 

As for Weimer getting hot would be nice he has accumulated a decent number of walks and a solid number of extra base hits it's really the low batting average holding him back.

I think holding onto this whole wait until burnes freddy woodruff start dominating the nl is fools gold

once we are all resigned to that it will make the rest of the season a little easier to take
