Two DSL Cerveceros victories. You have to love it. Combine output of 21-6 for the good guys. That's going to be a fun one to look through.

2022 first round pick SS Eric Brown Jr. (.711 OPS in 180 PAs) is indeed back in High-A Wisconsin’s lineup, with struggling RHP Stiven Cruz (7.43 ERA in 46 IP) also getting the start tonight, as the club aims to grab a 2-1 series lead at home against Lansing.

RHP Justin Jarvis (3.32 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 10.2 K/9 in 65 IP) targets a bounce-back performance after a rough last outing, as AA Biloxi seeks a 3-0 series lead at home over Chattanooga. At .292, RF Carlos D. Rodriguez has one of the Brewers’ top batting averages in the minors (T-6th).

Still tough at seven games, but the Link Report just became the tiniest bit more manageable for @damuelle tonight.

That game cancelled. BIloxi vs Chattanooga postponed. We are back to 6 games.

Frelick just fouled a ball of his right knee and was in a ton of pain. Was removed from the game and walked back to the dugout with a heavy limp.

Darrell Thompson seems to be settling down in AAA. In June he has 7 G, 8 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 13 SO. That's good for a 2.25 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 39% K-rate and 9% BB-rate.

Good to see on DT. Abner also struck out the side with a BB in his inning. Hopefully Frelick is just a contusion or something and not a Yelich situation.

RHP Daniel Corniel - 6 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 ER, 10 K.

Have. A. Night.

Might have been some ACL box score shenanigans going on. Corniel now showing up in the box at 4 IP and 7 K.

They’ve got Jesus Rivero following him up with 6 K vs only 1 H in 3 scoreless IP,  then Anfernny Reyes closing it out with 3 K over 2 IP to run his season total to 7.2 IP | 0 ER | 10 K.

Juan Baez (3-4, 2B) accounted for the entirety of the offense though.

Seems like there's a very real adjustment period going from tacky balls to normal balls. Thompson and Uribe's command both faltered when they first got to AAA.

This makes me think we could potentially see a lot of pitching moves once the Southern League goes back to a normal baseball as I doubt they want guys from A+ going to AA just to have a tacky ball for a week.

So Demetrio Nadal is playing very interestingly so far

28 plate appearances

One Strikeout

Six Walks & a HBP

Eight hits/20 AB's for a .400 Average

Five of his eight hits have been for extra bases with three doubles and two triples

His GO/AO suggests he's got a nice swing path and elevates the ball a lot, with only a 0.2 GO/AO. This stands out in thinking he's not just pulling grounders into fortunate spaces, but actually ripping balls

It's his second year in the DSL, could we see a promotion?

Also seven stolen bases and not caught as of yet

Ooof. Please let it just be "only" a painful contusion and not a similar injury to Yelich. The absolute worst timing for him too; real good chance of getting a promotion soon if he kept on the way he has since he returned from the thumb injury.

Also I'm determined to give Hiura a few weeks to get his eye in again too, I'm sure it'll come, but let's see if he can rediscover the ability to not strikeout he had before the injury. Hell even Frelick struck out twice last night

Baez has been absolutely raking in the ACL so far. Turns 18 years old in a few days. Wonder if we’ll see him in Carolina at some point this year.

You absolutely love to see it. Whereas Middendorf never found his footing in Nashville (though, he has been much better early in his Biloxi re-assignment), Thompson has definitely adjusted and found his best stuff.
