Guys like Colin Rea at their absolute best are no match for the Braves lineup. Sad thing is he hasn't even really been bad at all today.

No. It was a strike. Hit the bottom of the zone.

You have no idea how a robot would have called that. It might have touched the TV strike zone which might or might not be the correct strike zone.

Keston is in the permanent dog house.  If he were going to come up, he would have been called up by now.  He is not in the plans.

Shame on the Brewers, if true!

Again, if CC isn't here next year, they need to go outside the organization and hire Kevin Seitzer as manager.

Huge +1.

Hell yes.

So much whining about the ump. The location was outside the on-screen box in the Bally's broadcast and the ump was consistent calling the same pitch a ball to Monasterio the half inning before.

No. It was colored in. That's a strike on the TV.

The pitch you referred to with Monasterio was a ball and below the zone.

GameDay shows in bottom of zone. Should have been an inning ending called strike 3 vs resulting in extra pitches thrown and a 3run HR. How does an ump miss such a close call with 3-2 count and multiple fouled off pitches. Clearly too close to take.absolute game changing blown call.

Correct.  Game day MIGHT have part of the ball nipping the zone...maybe.

MLB needs to segregate teams based on market-size just as college and high-school sports segregate teams based on school size.  Market size is a huge deal, and MLB ignores it, hoping fans don't notice ... and throws everybody into the same division, so to speak!

Very dumb by the MLB and dishonest!

More fans and courageous owners need to speak up!

@82brewcrew82 you can cry and give me the thumbs down all you want, but that doesn't make you any more correct.

Here's the Baseball Savant/Statcast zone showing a clear strike.

Then here's the gameday zone showing a clear strike.

The pitch to Riley was one of those pitches that is so borderline, it realistically goes for us 50% of the time and against us 50%. Sucks what happened after, and I'm all about roboumps, but it was nowhere close to egregiously bad where I'm going to blame the 3 runs on it.

If we need every 50/50 call to go our way to have any prayer against the Braves in a series, it doesn't bode well.

It was a borderline pitch but also surprised it wasn't called as the framing was absolutely spot on too

There is no such thing as a 50/50 ball-strike call. The strike zone is defined in the rulebook. It isn't an opinion thing that can go one way or another. It's either a ball or a strike. That was 100% a strike.

LOL back.

You still don’t know how an official MLB approved robot and review system would address a pitch like that and how it would ultimately be called. It would all depend on where the strike zone is defined and where the position of the ball is measured.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Never seen someone get so triggered by an "lol" before. Take a deep breath.

All I know is that was a strike according to every publicly available system we have. Little reason to think it wouldn't be the same for any MLB one.

Guys like Turang and Blake Perkins with no power should not be striking out this much. Bunt for a hit every once in a while. Paul Molitor had 3200 hits and he tried once per game when he was younger.
