Why? No need to sell the farm on a team that's going nowhere in the playoffs. I'm actually relieved they didn't make any needle moving trades.

Especially if the needle moves the wrong way.

Playing devil's advocate however, how do we know that making say 3-4 needle moving trades wouldn't have been the difference in actually going somewhere in the postseason?

Division so bad that it was on a platter for the taking this year and we're going to lose out on it to the Reds and maybe even the Cubs.

Oh boy. This is gunna be fun.

The whole "JefferyLeonard" handle keeps throwing me off.  Like...you want MORE moves like that?

As they showed last week, good luck finding 3 to 4 needle moving trades that are going to put the Brewer lineup anywhere close to contending against one with Acuna, Albies, Murphy, Olson, Riley, etc.

The 2023 Brewers aren't a couple moves away from going somewhere in the postseason. Gotta be patient right now. There's a time to go for it, but this team ain't it.

Because we're the Brewers. No amount of moves was going to make us better than the Braves. I still think we'll win the division but will be fortunate to even win two postseason games. If you're not a World Series contender, being buyers is suicide.

Reality is this is not and has not been a very good team. Losing to losers confirms this. The question for me is what happens this offseason with Burnes and Adames. Sell them and go full blown youth? Try to recalibrate for another year of meh?

Man I’m glad we didn’t surrender any top prospects this season for this team … no way they go deep into the playoffs - or even qualify for the playoffs - if they can’t handle Oakland & Washington … much less LA, Atlanta, & others

Unbearable to watch - such uninspiring baseball & mediocre play 🤮

Knowing this organization they'll continue to plug holes with stopgap moves and just be happy to be an above .500 team and hope they get hot in late September.

I apologize...I confused Jeffery Leonard with Jeffery Hammonds....

Wow … I simply refuse to drink the kool-aid

How can anyone expect this team to win the NL Central?

We're a LONG way from that. I completely on both the 2018 and 2019 teams. Both got very hot in pretty unlikely ways (especially 2019).

It sucks to be losing to the Nats again. It's also the third inning.

If this division ends up historically bad, it's still going to take 82 wins to clinch it (I think it's going to take at least 85). The Reds have 59 wins as I write. The Cubs have 53.

Honestly, this division is going to be decided when somebody wins 8 of 10 in September. And any of the three contenders seem equally likely to do that.

They have to be smarter about the moves they make in the off season. That's how they have ended up in these messes. ENOUGH of the 1 year "hoping for a bounce back" bats. It isn't working. It hasn't worked. Name the last 1 year contract bat they signed that worked out. If they don't change that philosophy, then this is what we are going to endure for many years to come.

Because it's a very winnable division and they have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way. Let's not panic just because of last night. The division most likely won't be decided until the final weekend.

Santana looks like a 37 year old guy playing a 27 year olds game. Bat isn't quick.

Good thing he's good at run prevention ! Lol his bat looks it will fit right in with the rest . ( I know its to early to tell )

Crazy how many innings seem to come down to Monteserio delivering or not.

Or just pitch around him to get to Turang.
