But to be fair, I admit I don't have the hatred for the Cubs that many of you do. I'm weird that way. I ******* hate the Cards but the Cubs are "eh, okay". I think it probably has to do with me spending quite a bit of time in Utah - a baseball dead zone, particularly in the early 90s - and the Cubs were literally the only team I could watch on the regular. I grew up watching a lot of Sandberg, Dawson, Grace, Dunston, etc.

I don't cheer for the Cubs but I don't wish death on them, either. They're just kinda... there.

The cardinals are considerably worse than the cubs.   That is indisputable

and you can take that downtown and print it

JJ Hardy might be the most valuable player in the history of the Brewers franchise when its all said and done...

That trade would have actually been great for the Twins, too, had their bass-ackwards front office not traded Hardy for peanuts because they couldn't understand modern defensive metrics.

And I totally get it. I feel that way about the White Sox, actually.

But it's not a Twins fandom thing because I don't feel that way about the Guardians at all. I guess I just choose one team to hate in a division and in the NLC, it's the Cardinals.

I dislike the cardinals even more.

Spend any time at all next to cubs fans or cardinal fans at a ballpark. That’s all it takes.

He may replace Elvis soon

Just a bit more consistency and he's there.

See, and that's why I dislike the Cards. Everything about their franchise just reeks of self-congratulatory arrogance and I cheer their downfall in every moment.

Just go to a Cubs-Brewers game at AFF and you might change your mind. Be sure to sit directly in front of Cubs fans.

I've sat next to plenty of Cubs fans. They're not great. I think Cardinals fans are worse.

At least the Cubs spend 95% of their existence being feckless twits who subvert their own attempts at success.

The weirdest thing about all of this is how not-rare Uribe's triple-digit velocity is nowadays.

Such a weird thing to say.

I tell you what though, triple digits with that kind of movement ain't exactly a plentiful commodity....Felix Bautista-lite.

Whatever happens this season the fact that Contreras is the real deal is a huge bright spot.

He's a real bright spot , keep playing like this he's going to get us haul when we have to trade him !

It's so weird because if you go see the Brewers play at Wrigley, the fans are generally great and it's a fun time.

No, it's not. Here is a hilarious video of one of our Twins Daily founders (the closest thing to a baseball genius I've been close to) batting while his podcast-mate tries to catch a 100mph fastball. The podcaster is a pretty serious baseball player with cred, he's not just "a guy".

That has not been my experience.

You like to see that contact from Frelick. 105.2 MPH, his highest exit velocity yet. Keep doing that with his hyper-contact profile and he'll be in great shape.

Keep hitting 105mph and literally any contact profile plays, even Joey Gallo.
