You can't ask for much more than the AB Santana just gave them - worked a count full and then hit a laser that's probably a leadoff double 95% of the time.  He's hit into some bad luck a few times, or your post would likely just include Canha in it.

They have a lineup full of mediocre hitters and they went out at the deadline and got two more mediocre hitters who are also old. 

So about the results that one would expect.

1 run when you start a runner at 2nd is a pretty decent result. Wilson is a low K pitcher, and good contact once or weak contact twice probably scores that run.
