Watch Mis pitch in your free game of the day...

The Tennessee lineup has some big Cubs prospects, Caissie has been on fire this season, and would've been very interesting to watch Cade Horton face off Chourio... alas, we'll have to wait until later in the week for that!

Big test for Misiorowski, he may have built some confidence towards the end of his recent outing, and we'll see if that carries through. If he can keep the wildness at bay, he's just so damn sexy

In the DSL, the Brewers Dos flew into an early 6-1 lead, led off by a Demetrio Nadal triple

As it's his second year in the DSL, I wonder if he'll get to Carolina next season, or if there's something the Brewers see that's holding him back

Last night's game-ending ground out to Brocken at 3B (really nice pitch by Shears here). He definitely has the arm to man the hot corner. I liked what I saw from him last night and, I would opine early in High-A, I think his overall game has been severely underestimated. He showed signs, albeit in just one game, he is a more cerebral and willing player than given credit for. Much more than a mere power bat.

Boeve in the lineup for the T-rats tonight.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Yes, 2nd round pick INF Mike Boeve makes his High-A debut for Wisconsin, as they seek a 2-0 series lead at home over Dayton.

As predicted in last night's Minor League Link Report: No Garcia for Wisconsin tonight. Hopefully, it's just something nagging and not something lasting. Tough luck with injuries in 2023 for the young infielder.

C Jeferson Quero returns from injury and RHP Jacob Misioworski is on the bump as AA Biloxi aims to even its home series against Tennessee 1-1.

Boy, the DSL Crew #2 lost it late with a six-spot surrendered in the top of the 6th. That paired well, symmetrically, with their own 6-spot in the bottom of the 1st. But, sheesh, it didn't help their bottom line.

The Mudcats aim to double their series lead to 2-0 at home over Delmarva, with 2022 10th round pick LHP Brian Fitzpatrick making his first start in Low-A ball. 3B Luke Adams returns to the lineup after a day off.

Just a friendly reminder to any and all:

RHP Jacob Misiorowski leading OF Jackson Chourio and the Shuckers will be the MiLB.TV free game of the day tonight. They face the Cubbies' extremely formidable first place Tennessee Smokies who just absolutely smoked RHP Christian Mejias and the Shuckers bullpen last night, 14-1. C Jeferson Quero also returns from a prolonged absence due to a hand bruise.

If you care to check these young prospects out, here's your link:

We're on the way in Zebulon as LHP Brian Fitzpatrick completed his first inning at Low-A Carolina. Chopper to Guilarte at SS. Pop up to Chirinos in 1B foul territory. Pop up in shallow foul territory to 2B Jadher Areinamo. In a debut, you are looking for control. Fitzpatrick had it. Several swings and misses - mainly heater and slider early (didn't see a cutter or a change). Looking sharp! Mudcats will bat now.

Fitpatrick works around a double deep off the wall in LF (hanging change-up what it looked like to me) and hung a few pitches in the 2nd frame. He gets away with it all unscathed. Chirinos throws out the runner trying to score from 2B on a wild throw to 1B from Guilarte bringing Chirinos off the bag on a weak chopper. Chirinos quickly turned and fired to Diaz at home plate and they had the runner by a good 6'. 0-0 and we're on to the bottom of the 2nd.

Any timetable for EBJs' return?

No Sir. It's a hairline scapular thing. So, I imagine they are going to play it safe and ensure he's fully healthy. I think I recall a minimum of 6 weeks (? off the top of my head) once it was unofficially diagnosed and shared by ARob. I could be wrong.

A two-run bases clearning two-out double to deep LF off the bat of SS Daniel Guilarte (4 hits in the series so far) has the Mudcats in front 3-0 in the 2nd frame. Let's GO!!!

Thanks. It sounds like something they'd certainly be ultra-careful with.
