Sorry Perkins is injured

Toro is an upgrade offensively & he is versatile too

Agreed. And his bat was hot at AAA and here when sent down.

Toro is versatile in that Counsell gets nervous watching him play defense at multiple positions.

That’s funny … & probably fairly accurate

Toro is far superior defensively to Hiura, Voit, Winker, & maybe Tellez

Oddly enough - even Santana has played poor defensively since joining the Brewers

All that to say - a hot bat with adequate defense would be welcome & Toro is more likely to provide that spark than these others

Yeah that's not reality. Santana has 3 DRS and 1 OAA since joining the Brewers. Yeah he had a tough error at a very poor time, but he's been basically perfect outside of that error.

Yeah, I don't know how you would come away with the impression that he's been bad. There have been multple plays that have been really solid.

He may have saved a crucial run with his range last night, the 3-4-3 put out. A little lucky with the deflection but no other first base is getting a hand on that

Perkins popped up unexpectedly today in this FanGraphs article about Fernando Tatis Junior’s conversion to the outfield.

Apparently Blake is one of only four OFs - along with Tatis, Kiermaier and Julio Rodriguez - who are top 20 in all of Arm Strength (92.2 MPH | 14th), Sprint Speed (30 feet/sec | 2nd), Jumps (+2.7 feet vs avg | 4th) and OAA (+5 | 12th)
