0-4 with 3 walks in 2 games since missing nearly 2 months and complaining he has a "sub .500 OPS" is more than a little over dramatic for my tastes. And that's all I'm going to say about it.

It’s not that I think his post IL production should have been a certain thing or another.

I had assumed that his initial injury - before the finger was a fake injury to get him some practice at bats.

I’m just ready for the Tyler Black experiment to begin.

We are? He's been back for two games! 7 PA, 3 BB and an RBI. Sheesh.

Context matters.

Exactly.    Don’t act like he’s only played two games this year.    He’s played a bunch and sucked.    I’m not advocating anything but he hasn’t been good and it hasn’t been for just 7 at bats

Thing is, he wasn't exactly tearing it up in AAA during his rehab stint, either. He's simply got to hit at a certain level due to the dearth of value he provides elsewhere on the field. He hasn't hit at that level since May. Yes, he was injured and he just returned off the IL, but the Brewers can't and aren't going to wait forever.

That sub .500 OPS spans two months of play, not two games.

I'm not. If you wish to ignore the actual posts in the conversation that's your prerogative but there is a post where the person I was responding to continued to speak as if he was talking about Rowdy since his return before the peanut gallery jumped in to tell me it's about more than that.

Rowdy is going to have to show some signs of life in this series.

I actually hope he had a forearm injury. Getting 2022 Rowdy back would be great. We're gonna need a couple other guys to really get going if we don't wanna be a one and done again.

Get him back, Adames is hitting the ball hard. Frelick and Turang are having good ABs. You don't need to be the '27 Yankees, just timely hits at the right time. I'm pretty sure there's been a WS team just about every year the last 10-20 years that people dismissed at this time of the year.

Did he really win that ? I know he got the out , but that was a lot of pitches ! Will be another short game unless he gets some quick outs !

Nope. That was one hell of an annoying AB
