They may not live and die by it, but when they make blanket statements that are patently untrue, I don't think it's out of line for someone to point that out. Doesn't make them "inferior" fans, just makes them wrong, as we all are from time to time. At least the truth/reality gets revealed, which should be the goal of any discussion board.

Patently untrue and also qualified with an "I don't have the data" statement.

Whew, it's so hard to tolerate these liars and their deliberately misleading statements.

Not just referring to this particular situation, my friend...

I completely agree that it’s in line to point it out. But it can be done in an objective and not insulting way.

For example, I think “Actually the Brewers are 25th in MLB in FB%…” is less snarky than “but hey, too geared to hit fly balls”.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Woodruff throws 3 strikes in a 5 pitch walk then Hoerner gets to dip his elbow into a pitch barely off the strike zone for a HBP. What a joke.

The ball is literally an inch inside, this game setting up to be st00pid

Shouldn't count as a HBP if it's not even in the batter's box.

Yelich with the wind at his back, medium deep in left, and he doesn't even try to make the throw?

He kinda crouched/stumbled as he caught it. If he would ran a little harder at it he coulda caught it at his chest with a nice momentum going toward the plate...but he didn't.

I would be interested to see umpire scorecards just off what's happened so far. Probably at least 1 run of value given to the Cubs by this clown behind the plate. Can we swap him out with Angel Hernandez?

At least we're crushing the ball against Hendricks. 3 swings with a 105+ MPH EV so far. If that carries over, you figure we'll put some runs on the board.
