No.  You can demote him but he still would need to serve a suspension on the MLB roster.

I'd be fine with sending Uribe down.  Just cant accept that behavior. Very immature and it will hurt the team.  He can serve his suspension the next time he gets called up.

Lip reading what Siri said would be interesting, but almost certainly in Spanish.  Though if he can extend his incredible skill into another language, that would sure by something.

What's the take on here regarding the initial throwing out of Peralta?   That hasn't been all over twitter like the fight.    Wasn't watching since the had a good lead and bucks game

- no punishment for Peralta
- fine for Murphy, but no suspension
- umpire goes for sensitivity and de-escalation training
- Uribe suspended 10 games, pleads down to 7 games
- Siri suspended 5 games

The way the season has gone for this pitching staff, I guess it's par for the course that one way or another we'd have to use five pitchers in an 8-2 win.

So if Sanchez is IL'ed for a time, the catcher-at-DH thing gets minimized to "off days" for Contreras. Big opportunity for Black. Those were four really nice at-bats.

I doubt Uribe and Siri get that many. Ramirez and Anderson only got 3 and 6 respectively last year.

IMO the chances of him throwing at Siri were something more than zero, but he shouldn't get tossed w/o warning. Did he suddenly lose command that badly (remember it was on a 3-0 pitch)? Hard to sell that one.

I rewatched Siri's HR and it was clear Freddy was upset with him for slow-walking the HR.  Its highly likely Freddy threw intentionally at him.  Still not sure he gets ejected without a warning.
