Offense looks as lethargic as yesterday.

Sure enough soon as they move Turang to leadoff he can't get on base anymore. 🙄

As someone said, OF production has been very, very bad. Can't have three guys OPSing around .600. Some of it is just the young guys and a small sample still, but that is a lot of near auto-outs right now.

Perkins really carried this team for a while, but he's really scuffling.

12 scoreless innings and counting……….

Seems like this is the norm every time after we score 10 or more in a game.

It actually seems to happen a lot with every team after a big outburst.

79 career hits for Frelick only 19 for extra bases. It doesn’t look like he hits with enough pop to stick in the majors.

By comparison Perkins has had 19 of his 58 hits go for extras. Ortiz has had 10 of his 28 hits go for extra bases.

I hope the bad back hasn't hurt Yelich power bat. Singles are nice but it was exciting to see his power come back.

Give him some time…..he was out for 3 weeks…….

Does Black come back up then, assuming Hoskins to the IL?

Could be but they could use a right handed bat……..not sure who that would be.

Fastball up,in the zone continues to be kryptonite for Sal……

I bet they wish they had waited another year for the Frelick bobblehead.

For those of us not watching, what happened on the Hoskins play?

He hit a ball down toward the right field corner and looked like he may attempt to leg out a double but then slowed up coming around first and looked like his leg (I thought his left) grabbed him a bit. He looked like he was clearly frustrated throwing his batting gloves down on the ground.

Edit to add, even if he didn't pull a muscle, he likely was only going to stay at 1B on that hit as Reynolds got to the ball quickly. So it wasn't the muscle pull - or whatever it was - that led to him staying at 1B.

He pulled up a step or two before reaching first base on a base hit. Hamstring injury/strain. Not sure how bad yet.

It's a Wisconsin thing. I heard they already have a Jordan Love jacket and bust ready for Canton Ohio.
