That has happened to me occasionally. If I go back to the scores there is usually a note about refreshing in the middle of the screen, somewhat obscured by the scores. 

If I just close and reopen the app that usually takes care of it.

Just tried reinstalling, but still doesn’t work.  If I go to scores then I can go directly to the box score, but can’t switch teams, so can only see the team that’s batting.  Kind of annoying, guess I didn’t realize how often I check things in the box score even when I’m watching the game.

Tendinitis isn’t a one time injury.  It’s swelling that builds over time, his home run trot didn’t cause an injury, he’s probably been trying to manage it for a while.
