Jesus Made struck out looking in the 1st inning and was replaced defensively in the 2nd inning. Injury or ejection?

Granted it’s only 4 games, but I wonder how soon we see a jump from the Dominican set up being fully operational.

Seems like we have a good group again.

Wenderlyn King with 4.2 scoreless IP of 3 H | 0 BB | 6 K mound work in the DSL Brewers One 9-2 victory.

Joandrew Pena came in for the aforementioned Jesus Made and went 2 for 4 with a 2B, HR and three RBI.

DSL Brewers Two also prevailed by a 7-3 score.

Jorge Quintana (2 for 5, 2B) and Jose Anderson (2 for 5, HR) had multiple hits with an extra baser each.

Christopher Peralta put up the shiniest pitching line at 3.1 IP | 1 ER | 4 H | 1 BB | 4 K.

AA Biloxi trails their series in Montgomery 1-0 and is playing a doubleheader today, with 22-year old RHP Jacob Misiorowski (2.52 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 12.4 K/9 in 39.1 IP) ready to dominate the opening game.

A poor 1st inning from Misiorowski after getting the first 2 hitters out. Solo HR, HBP, line drive single to LF, infield single, He gets out of it with a ground ball out, but pitch count is up to 25 with only 14 going for strikes.

He’s kind of lucky to have a free out batting 9th - a 20-year old 3rd string catcher, instead of either of Montgomery’s solid-hitting catchers.

23-year old RHP KC Hunt (2.48 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 15.2 K/9 in 29 IP) makes his first professional start in his 16th career minor league game, as High-A Wisconsin shoots for a 3-0 home series lead over Quad Cities. SS Gregory Barrios is absent from the lineup for a 3rd straight game after only pinch running on Sunday.

Have to think Misiorowski's day might be done with his pitch count at 79 through 3 innings. Day to forget for him. 3 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO, 1 HBP

Raise your hand if you’re ready to watch 18-year old 2B Filippo Di Turi’s (.956 OPS in 106 ACL PAs) Low-A Carolina debut! 19-year old RHP Bishop Letson (3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP; 12.4 K/9 in 24 IP) makes his 4th consecutive Thursday start, with the Mudcats trailing their series in Charleston 2 games to 0.

The AAA Sounds and Louisville are picking up where they left off yesterday, tied 3-3 in the top of the 12th inning in Nashville. RHP Nolan Blackwood is on to pitch. The Sounds are up 1-0 in this week’s series.

An error and a bloop single pushed 2 runs across against the Sounds, but Tyler Black hit an RBI double the other way to open the bottom half of the inning. Nashville trails 5-4 with nobody out. Wiemer, Miller and Young are due up next.

Wiemer K’d on a 2-2 low and away pitch. Then Miller got jammed on a 2-1 inside pitch to ground out to first base. Ugh. It’s up to Chavez Young to get Black in from 3rd base to re-tie this continuation of Wednesday’s game.

No can do. Young grounds out to 3rd base and the Bats have evened the series 1-1. That’s a disappointing 5-4 loss, leaving 12 on base, going 2-for-16 with RISP, committing 3 errors.

We expect Thursday’s 9-inning game to follow shortly.

26-year old RHP Garrett Stallings (6.59 ERA in 28.2 IP) makes his 1st start (2nd appearance) for AAA Nashville at home against Louisville, with the series tied 1-1. 1B Tyler Black has a 5-game hit streak and has homered in 3 of his last 7 games.

Down 3-0 when Le Mis exited after 3 innings, RHP Nick Merkel really stabilized things, retiring 9 of 10 batters.

That gave the recently, regularly inept Shuckers’ offense a chance to come back and they DID: 3 walks and a Lamar Sparks  double produced 2 runs in the 6th inning. Then Biloxi put up a 5-spot in the final scheduled frame: 2 doubles (Mike Boeve led off with one), 3 singles, 1 walk.

That’s a 7-3 victory. Let’s play another tonight.

After storming back to claim the 1st game of today’s doubleheader, AA Biloxi’s only lineup switch brings in C Andy Yerzy (for Darrien Miller). RHP TJ Shook (5.49 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 11.6 K/9 in 41 IP) gets the opportunity to tame Montgomery’s bats and tie the series 2-2.

Chambers gave up a single, double, and two walks without recording an out before being removed from the game.

With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two down - the T-Rats relief duo of Wehrle and Costello having wasted RHP K.C. Hunt's 5.0 IP, 5 K, 0 R masterclass - and trailing 2-1 Tayden Hall's High-A struggles continued as he went down swinging on a heater center cut. That's 2 K for Hall as he is doing his darndest to mirror EBJ's offensive output in Biloxi.

2-1 and they head to the 8th frame. T-Rats trail. Is another improbable late comeback 'W' in their cards? They picked up a game on Cedar Rapids last night. They hold a 2.5 G lead atop the Division.
