Don’t want to see Ohtani come up with 2 or 3 men on base this inning.

Let him lead off the 9th.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

hard to pick Turang over any of the infielders that made it.

Turang absolutely deserves it over Arraez.  Arraez has a pretty batting average, but he's only walked 7 times in 300 PAs and Turang has a higher OPS.  Defensively, Arraez isn't even playing 2B anymore for the Padres, he's playing 1B and isn't even a good defender at 2B.  Alonzo and Freeman are the backup 1B and Turang absolutely should be the backup 2B over Arraez.

Abrams is a SS.

I have a feeling this might be like the Yankees game where they drop about 20 on us

No additional Brewers selected to the all star game

So far.  Most of the starting pitchers selected usually opt out, so they'll need to name a number of replacements.

Maybe this is only me, but seeing Chris Taylor still makes me sick. It doesn’t even help that he’s having the worst season of his career. Nothing will ever make it better until we get to hang a banner. Nothing.

Yeah, Turang is just a better pick over Arraez.  Reputation pick there, and not in for team representation.

Jeff Hoffman seems favorable to Megill or Hudson, unless you emphasize save counts.  Or if you want to dispute Skenes pitching 10 career games and getting in, but can't blame MLB for putting him on display.

Do you have Megill pitch the 9th because he hasn’t pitched since Wednesday and has tomorrow off, or do you wait to see if there’s a save situation

This will be an unpopular opinion, but I think Megill has earned the opportunity to remain closer even after Williams returns...

This game is the epitome of how a team like the Brewers can out-class an expensive Coasty-type team...the first 2 games (on the road!) were obviously an aberration.

His name was Megill, and he called himself Lil, but everyone knew him as.... Killa Megilla! WE WIN!

This would have been a really brutal sweep:  We scored runs, but not enough in the first 2 games.  Great recovery in the 3rd.  Cheers to Yeli!

It's not illogical. I still think Williams is the longer-term solution if he comes back and is his effective self, though. But I would not hand Williams the job on day one.

So Sunday lineup ……Keuchel on the mound walking 5 guys in 4 innings……..no problem

9-2 W!

Nobody beats the Brewers 8 times in a row!

Yelly is having a hell of a year!

Really nice win. The results against the elites this season have been discouraging so you really wanted to come out of L.A. with a win you could hang your hat on and make you feel like we could hang with these guys in their house. They were up to the task today.

Take it to the parking lot, guys. We won; be happy.

Tell it to the other guy.   But we will have to wait until we are up 6 in the ninth inning to continue that conversation

There’s no reason to face that question until it arises.

Williams still has to face live hitters before going on rehab. Then he’ll have to pitch a few games there before being brought back. And that’s if everything goes well, which is never guaranteed.

When he is brought back, it would make sense to have his first appearance or two for the Brewers be in lower leverage situations.

After all of that is done, then see where things are. Maybe the best thing will be to not have a designated closer. I certainly wouldn’t assume that Williams will be ready to go on consecutive days or 3 times in 4 or 5 days immediately or that he will be as sharp as he has been in the past.

I would still like to replace Dallas though.   His stat line is pretty damn scary.

I think we take the three wins we got from him and run

Williams/Megill can both get save situations.
However, I cannot believe we throw Williams in save situations right off the bat.
