Ahead of his time, Jose Hernandez was a productive player with power at his position, who happened to strike out a lot.  The Brewers limited his playing time near the end of 2001 and his All-Star 2002 season, when he compiled 185 and 188 strikeouts, to keep him from breaking Bobby Bonds' all time single season record of 189.  His #2 position on that list has since slipped all the way down to 45th and falling every year.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what's up with that bird.

I think Randy Johnson killed it with a fastball.

Man, going to games at the end of the 2002 season were a drag. The only thing I had to cheer for was for Jose-K to set the record. But the Brewers couldn't even do that right for the fans.

Hernandez was in the lineup at the end of the 2002 ASG. Imagine the hero he would have become if he was able to pop a homer in one of his three at bats? Instead he did the other thing and struck out twice.

This man got us to the playoffs in 2008

My pick for #15 wasn't here long, but made one heck of an impact after coming over in a 2018  deadline deal. A former starter, Drew Pomeranz was identified by David Stearns as a guy who could potentially pitch in a middle relief role down the stretch. Big Smooth was much more than that, coming in and immediately performing as a dominant relief arm in a variety of roles.
