So much for  the "Get Yelich healthy" notion.  Good way to take the shine off of things.

I was pretty much resigned to it a long time ago.

Yeah, the old joke about the guy in prison getting bad news from home incrementally comes to mind. As soon as they said Yeli was up on the roof I suspected it wasn't gonna end well.

It was interesting to read a postgame thread from the Dodgers fans' perspective. You could swap out the names from the Dodgers and insert the Brewers and it would be the exact same messages we read here. I'm not being critical of anyone because I complain here just as much as the next person, just interesting.

I think when people like to high-brow and talk like they don't get emotional about in-game threads and fans here are terrible haven't really seen or read what other fans say about their teams.

The Dodgers have a TON to be excited about in the playoffs. Yes, they're not perfect as no team is but they want Dave Roberts and everyone fired yesterday. They were complaining that Shohei was a bum in his last X amount of games. Very interesting stuff.

It's a game thread. I feel like this is exactly where people can come and say a bunch of hot takes in the moment because they are talking about the game and not in general. Today during the game I said Sal Frelick sucks. Do I think that's true? Not really (sometimes I do though haha) but in the moment of the game where he hit an infield fly trying to do the butcher boy play and in combo with his other terrible AB in the series I said he sucks. That's just normal fan behavior. It's when the negativity and hot takes leave the game thread where things get annoying.

I give the Dbacks a real chance to catch them.

All true, but we do have a few high and mighty posters who don't get this concept, who must always be level headed and unemotional.

Dodgers hiring Andrew Friedman from the Rays has to go down as one of the darkest days in world history.

Way after the fact, but I don't really feel like Friedman has done a particularly good job.

Unlimited payroll and a pretty meh offense beyond the big four.

Letting Seager go was really dumb.

The epitome of small ball. Brewers win with scoring 2 runs by infield groundouts. A big thank you to the great Billy Beane.

Please explain.

I don't get it.

Hall of Famers - 4

Triple AAAers - 6

I would say it’s more like 3 Hall of Famers and 2 current All Stars (Smith and Hernandez). And when they add Muncy that’s another All Star caliber hitter

I agree.

I think it’s bad form to pull out things from game threads and throw them in someone’s face.

But, there are posters who seem to thrive on doing that.

to be fair, there are posters that thrive on repeating that the sky is falling for a team that's 17 games over 500 in mid August. Everyone is different and it gets emotional. This has been the way of the in-game thread since the dawn of mankind.  Issues seem to crop up when a third or fourth party inserts themselves into a spat between two posters. Try to avoid that. Usually it just fizzles out on its own.

And, a game thread is a game thread. Often, they become remixes of other threads. Frelick has a bad ab? Say it! But then it bleeds over into an issue that is discussed in its own thread.

And, if posters can bring up their own old posts to prove they were correct, I reserve the right to point out when they were wrong (and when they were correct as well!).

That Dodger series beat me up as a fan. So happy with a split. I think they can handle Cleveland.

I will say one thing.   No matter how many hot takes I give in the game threads I have enjoyed following this team way more than the past few tears

it just really really really suck that we are finally getting a great year out of yelich again and then he goes down for the year

I don’t know if I have any faith in his career being resurrected now.

Black grounded out to third (5-3),Mitchell scored, Adames to second, Contreras to third.

Hoskins grounded out to shortstop via pitcher’s heal (1-6-3), Contreras scored, Adames to third.

And what does that have to do with Billy Beane?

I'm probably just missing the point.
