The MLB record for most consecutive games walking in a run is 4.

Let's not be tying that today.

I'd live with it if the Brewers are up 13-1.  That said, looking forward to another game watching this defense in this park!

Keep stacking w's.

Boyle is a hard thrower with solid stuff, but one of the wildest pitchers in the majors. Going to be a game where we'll have to be patient and not start swinging wildly as that will only help the guy.

Sounds like a perfect game for Mitchell, or if he was still up, Black, to get the nod.

Here are the Brewers out of zone swing percentages so far this year. Mitchell is near the lowest in the majors with a huge difference from the previous two years.

Yeah, among 418 pitchers with at least 30 IP this year, Boyle’s 16.5% walk rate ranks 416th.

Brewers batters’ 9.7% walk rate is 2nd in MLB (behind only the Judge Soto Show in the Bronx) so it should hopefully be a good match up for them.

If Boyle is locating like the 1st inning the whole game, though, could be a light hitting afternoon.

I appreciate what Rea's done this year, but he just scares me to death in a playoff series with his propensity for pitches like that. Why Freddy is still my Game 1 starter.

I hope Rea just missed his location and that wasn't actually supposed to be the 0-2 pitch.

Backdoor cutter that leaked over the heart of the plate.

Another bomb allowed by a Brewer pitcher. That's the 160th of the year. 4th worst in MLB. Let's hope it goes like yesterday and the Crew can go nuts with the bats again.

It’s not like Freddy avoids first inning homers either

Hr/9 is about the same.  Freddy allows more base runners.  Not sure how you get from not trusting Rea to having full faith in Freddy as your game 1 starter.  Rea isn't ideal but I go with him.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Because stuff matters and plays differently in the postseason against elite lineups with the best hitters playing everyday. And the peripherals, which have predictive value, are much worse with Rea.
