I miss not having the pitch clock on screen.

I got the Mrs to go with me to the Mariners game when we were in Seattle this week for the first time in a decade and she enjoyed it a lot more and it's in no small part due to the pitch clock.

Best thing they did to the game in the last 20 years

For what it's worth Chourio cut down his swing and went opposite field with two strikes.

He's got a very efficient swing path.

His swing is so much more under control now than it was at the beginning of the season.

Wilson gets the rest of the game for me. I don't want anyone that pitched yesterday to throw tonight, especially Devin.

Would be shocked if Devin isn't coming in to close this thing. If not him, Megill.

67mph bat speed so the numbers back the eye test.

Sorry to the oldheads, but Chourio is going to be the best Brewers of all time.

Careful.  Ryan Braun’s rookie year was much better.  Make sure Chourio doesn’t hit the PEDs.

Braunie was also 23 as a rookie

How old was Braun his rookie year?

On edit.... Never mind. Someone beat me to it.

I have never seen anything like this kid in a Brewers uniform. I’m not quite old enough to have seen any of the 80’s guys play, but I saw the lean years and then every player come up in the franchise resurgence. Only Braun is close to this. And Chourio’s ceiling is so obviously higher.

We are so fortunate to have him—I couldn’t be more excited for the next decade. If you have a talent like this in your lineup, it’s almost like having a top-3 QB in football. Nothing guarantees you playoff success, but you start every year with a big head start. Let’s freaking go!

He's kind of bit of old school hitting mechanics. No crazy attack angle and very little wasted movement in the box.

Probably helps that he has the fastest hands/wrists on the team at least by my eyes. Just ridiculous natural talent.

If you've ever seen any old video of Hank Aaron he will kind of remind you of him.

Ridiculously fast wrists

Kind of funny. There was an older fan on BCB who basically never posts but he said earlier this week that he hasn't seen wrists as good as Chourio's since watching Aaron when he was a kid.

Ask the Angels fans about this. Trout hasn't sniffed the playoffs. You gotta build around them.

Indeed. The roster grind never ends. But I trust this org a whole heck of a lot more than LAA’s.
