I think there should be times when a guy is this bad that around the 5th inning both managers come out and say you stink so bad that you need to go umpire third base and we'll have him take care of the plate

I also get a kick out of the "it's such a hard job" excuses that I fortunately don't hear much of anymore. 

NFL officials have to watch 22 players all at once. So do soccer officials. 

You watch a ball and a base. Do it better. (And I know I'm oversimplifying a bit, but yes, they suck.)
