The "Chourio/Mitchell" game!

Mitchell is a beast I said that even before his injury earlier this season.

I haven't seen, but Tobias has got to be getting the ball tomorrow, right?

Wow...I thought IF we could get through the 8th without giving up a run(which I didn't think we'd do with the leadoff walk) Chourio could tie it up.

I would NOT have said Mitchell would give us the game-winning 2R shot!

Why not Mitchell?

This is in no way directed at you -- but I just feel like Mitchell gets underappreciated.

Garrett Mitchell has a career 121 OPS+. He was a 2 WAR player this year in less than 200 ABs, he's got a slick glove, cannon arm, great speed, and pop in his bat. Does a little bit of everything.

He's a hell of a player and I feel like we don't always see him that way.

Did Uecker even do the game?   He didn't call the game last night as I was driving home during first inning, and he wasn't calling it.

I had a reply on this post, where I was giving up, even though I did not all year, and I am glad I was wrong! Chourio was the spark for this team with his second Homer, it said “ ok guys, wake the F up!” That was good words! I will eat my words. Don’t give up on them, especially Chourio!

I think it's just trying to find the right spot for him consistently in the lineup and him needing to get better against left-handed pitching.

Jackson Chourio hit that ball like a LF power hitter would hit a ball. It had that kind of exit and trajectory. Incredible.

If he can stay on the field, he is capable of multiple 30/30 seasons with great defense....5 tool player

Biggest win since??

Game 1 in 2021 against the Braves.

Getting the playoff monkey off their backs is a start, but it will be a blip if they lose tomorrow.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I will definitely be disappointed if they lose tomorrow, but I'm happier for at least rallying and forcing a Game 3 no matter what than I would have been with being swept.
