We have one of the best bullpens in baseball. Why would you only trust two guys?

It's a tough call for Murphy.

He lets him go back out there and gives up a run, people would say it was stupid.

He takes him out, people say it was stupid.

If Megill gives up a run here, Murphy will get crucified.

But I bet if you had polled Mets vets, the vast majority would have been happy to see Myers out of the game.

Not quite that, but...it's following a similar script.

Just a run here REALLY puts the pressure on the Mets as we get into the back 3rd of the game.

 

Such a clean inning has mean Megill comes back out after we put one on the board here, right?

I have confidence in one of the vets putting us ahead here. Hopefully someone is on when Sanchez or Hoskins comes up(maybe it's irrational confidence, but they've been here and gotten big hits before).
