Wisconsin vs Penn State, Saturday 10/26/24, 6:30PM

Prime time under the lights.  Nobody thought the Badgers had a chance on 10/16/10 vs. #1 Ohio State, especially with Scott Tolzien at QB.  But under the lights at night...

While this isn't new news (rumors back in August turned out to be accurate), the media is trying their best to distract James Franklin this week:

Penn State has Ohio State next week.  Will they get caught looking ahead?

Those guys were arraigned this week hence why it came up again.

This will be an interesting challenge.  Curious if this team is closer to Alabama game badgers that don't stand a chance agaisnt good teams without their starting qb, or first half USC badgers that's actually a pretty good team(even if they choked it away in the second half).

It would be great if PSU looked ahead, but they're coming off a bye week so It just seems to me that would lessen the possibility. IMO we need to, among other things, find 2-3 turnovers to pull off the upset. Tall task.

I'll always think of that 2010 matchup as the JJ Watt game. Seldom have I seen a DL make so many huge plays in one game.

The Schabert-to-Evans game was pretty memorable too. Took me a few days to drip dry after that one.

I can't tell if that was a called fake punt or if the punter avoided the block and just so so much green he went for it.

Pretty sure that was the punter. I think it was like 4th and 9. Probably not the distance to call a fake

Drops are killing them plus that phantom holding on the kickoff.

Indeed an absolutely terrible call. Obviously no hold there.

This being said, Wisconsin's offense is playing like a 5-2 team that has been blown out by its two ranked opponents. Four drops. QB rushing with time. Haven't found the run game. You can not drop these very catchable balls against a ranked opponent.

Feels like they should have at least one more score if it wasn’t for the drops.

The defense looks like it came to play and with a purpose.  Still some bad tackling but overall they are playing good.

Locke has had his moments. He's missed a couple key ones but he's doing a great deal of what you'd love from your #2. D stepped up. Really nice close to the 2nd quarter.

Locke again with an absolutely horrendous throw.

Indeed. Awful throw. AND, what a stupid play call. You know Locke has been rushing and nerve launching  every ball when pressure is on the docket. Even when it doesn't get there. So, you back him into shotgun on 3rd and Long at your goal line? NO. Take the pill. Run it nowhere. And use your best weapon of the night: your punter. These shotgun runs are ridiculous too. Go in I formation. Pound it.

Seriously. These stupid shotgun runs are embarrassing. Their D-Line is absolutely working the interior O-Line. Clearly quicker and beating them off the jump. Do the Badgers not have a fullback or an H-Back option in the backfield?! I mean this question sincerely. I don't watch the Badgers. LOL. I just tuned in to watch this game.

I don’t believe the I formation would help at all.  PSU’s d-line is just beating the Badgers O-line.  They are beating them to spots and over powering them.  They are just crashing the running lanes.  I think the Badgers need to call some play action but you can’t trust Locke to not make a mistake.

I think Nowakowski got hurt earlier. Not sure he has been able to return

Their backup QB looks very comfortable in the pocket and works through progressions really well.  Penn St winning in the trenches probably helps that along though.
