I expected Lara to be a stringbean but he’s got some legs to him.

And he used those legs to score on a shallow fly ball to right.

That was Cooper Pratt who scored

Ok, I never see any of these guys play before.  I read about Pratt also.

Classic Miz experience today. Surprising from Letson though.

And what a bomb Anderson. Reaaaaly hoping to see him in Carolina this year but with so many great guys maybe he starts out in the ACL

He filled out a lot this offseason. His legs were not that big last year.

This was the first time I'm seeing Areinamo play.  Does he have any gears in between Park and 5th gear?  That guy plays hard. Runs hard, Swings hard. Toning it down might be a good idea. His last AB was ugly.

He's going to be a reliever eventually, but as long as he's still working on command in the minors they might as well keep stretching him out.

I fear Misiorowski will always be haunted by the curse of expectations. Fans will expect too much from him too soon, regardless of his role.

Woodruff, Burnes, and Peralta all had BB/9 rates under 4 at a similar stage of development. Misiorowski is over 5, and that's been quite consistent. If he's considered a developing prospect, he has no business sniffing the 26-man roster.

This was a awesome game to watch even if our pitching was a little shaky. Yoho looked like a man amongst boys that last slider after like 5 changes was a mega wow moment. Jose Anderson going deep was great, Bitonti hit a couple foul balls extremely hard, I thought Hoestetler and Hardin looked great as new faces. Man the last 2 guys the Reds bullpen looked like future studs as well.

I’m excited about several Brewers prospects, but I’m not (yet) on the Misiorowski hype train. I want to believe but he’s not been impressive in the games I’ve watched this Spring as well as a few last year. Yes, he can throw 100 MPH & apparently has a great change up - unfortunately, he has Derrick Turnbow control. I’m not convinced (yet) that he will be as good as projected. I understand he is young & there is plenty of time for him to improve. I don’t see starting pitcher in him (yet). I also don’t anticipate him “helping” Milwaukee until next year - assuming he gains some level of control. Walks, HBP, general wildness is not MLB quality pitching.

Josh Hader is my Misiorowski comp. Dude was throwing 100 in the minors and the Brewers really really wanted him as a starter. They finally moved him to the pen and the guy turned into an elite closer. Not saying Misiorowski turns into Hader. Its just that the developement is starting to feel the same.

I'm not denying the comparison in terms of their development plans, but Hader never posted a BB/9 rate above 5 except for his rookie MLB season when he spent time in AAA.

Misiorowski has never posted a BB/9 below 5 (except for 26 innings in A-ball two seasons ago).

There were thirteen "qualified" relief pitchers in baseball with walk rates as high as Misiorowski has posted throughout his minor league stint.

All's this to say is that Misiorowski has a long way to go to pitch in MLB at the level everyone is expecting.
