This is... very good news.

I will say, if this backfires on Megill, I certainly hope the Brewers would bring him back next year either way. If it's TJ and he's out for the year or not. He's risking a lot, he could just shut it down, wait until ST'ing, come back healthy and get a very nice healthy pay bump, but he's trying to push it a little.

As for Logan Henderson, I think that's a wildly underrated arm. He's got the type of stuff that would THRIVE throwing 2-3 innings to bridge the gap like Ashby has, especially vs RHed heavy lineups. He's really a two pitch pitcher with his FB and his Change, but he can keep hitters off balance.

Megill and Henderson and... what the hell, might as well just hope that Woody can come back for the post-season. Maybe the NLCS if we can make it there.

I have seen comments about how this is likely the end of Woodruff's career(some were rational, like the end of his BREWERS career, some were saying it was just the end of his career-career... which is silly to me)... which it's not. In fact, I think a whole off-season of being mostly healthy and not having to worry if you'll ever get your stuff back will get Woodruff back to closer to the pitcher he was... but I still hope that moderate lat strain heals quickly.

Add those three and I'm feeling like there's a 25% chance the Brewers can win their first WS.

With Henderson and Megill, ~20%.

Without Megill and Woodruff and I think it's going to be a REAL uphill battle to matchup with these teams. A team like the Padres with that BP, or the Dodgers with their offense, the Phillies with...both.

Maybe Uecker will get in the ear of the Baseball Gods and we'll see some of these guys come back and get GOOD news late in the year as opposed to BAD news.

Would Henderson have gotten an inning this weekend if he wasn't on the 60 day IL?  Seemed hasty to move him there when it happened.

When they moved Logan to the 60 I assumed he was done for the season. I even thought they reported it that way. I am not sure if they just really needed the spot on the 40 or what the deal is.

Either way, they can probably just DFA Zimmerman if they need the spot again for Logan. Or put Woodruff on the 60 if he has to be shut down, which hopefully won’t happen.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but his original placement on the IL was retroactive to 8/4, so his first day eligible to play for the MLB club would be 10/3.

Now, would the Brewers be so bold as to include on a playoff roster a rookie who hasn't played in a game since August 3rd?  Anything could happen, though I am a tad skeptical.

Believe it is just breaking up the pitches like a simulated game. Throw 15-20, sit down for a little while. Get back up and throw 15-20 more. Repeat as needed depending on each pitcher's individual recovery timeline and role as starter vs reliever.

Appreciate you

Ok. So we may have some pitchers that could be ready for playoffs. If the team can hit there’s a chance of winning a series, but the offense has not been so good lately like most of the Month. I have ptsd from that 2021 offensive implosion and dread a repeat.

What are we thinking happens with Woody?  If we get to the next round, do you think there is a chance he's on the roster?

What about DL Hall?  Sorry I'm bad with the roster stuff and never pay attention to it.  I know he came back for the last game in the year.

What's the vibe from everyone on the current roster?

could be wrong but I thought I seen murphy say at one point woodruff wouldn't be back till a potential world series.

If we advance and play the dodgers in the NLCS, i'd welcome Hall back with open arms. You cannot have enough lefties to throw at Ohtani, Freeman and company!
