Gasser will only be available to go 3-4 innings? Looks like his last three starts at NSH were just 3.0, 2.0, and 4.0 IP. Only 1 ER in those 9 innings, but 9 H and 4 BB.

Sunday’s starter is still TBD. Woodruff and Patrick would be on normal rest. I appreciate Patrick is not on the active roster today.

I would guess Patrick gets the start and Rodriguez sent down. Gasser might get a start end of year after everything is clinched

Gasser would make sense to fill Hall’s long role if he is ready for it, he threw 44 pitches last outing.

My insider source told me that Patrick never left Milwaukee expect him Sunday probably

That may be true but he was technically optioned on 8/20.  He can't be recalled for 15 days......unless someone is going on the DL.

No that's not true. If you're the 27th man for a doubleheader then that rule doesn't apply.

Likely that they want to push Woody back and give him an extra day of rest.  Last time out was the most pitches that he's thrown since coming back, and it was only over 4.1 innings so they were heavy innings.

Would not be surprised if Patrick takes Mis's spot in the rotation and Mis is moved to the bullpen to mitigate his innings for the rest of the season.  With 19 games in 18 days, they just can't have another planned short start that taxes the bullpen.

Makes sense that every time Miz starts (assuming he continues to), someone is available that day who can go 3 or 4 if needed. The days don't line up w/Gasser but that can be manipulated/adjusted.

Hoping this is just a rest/recharge for Megill. Bummed for Henderson, but it probably makes sense to shut him down at this point, because even with a late Sept/early Oct return, he'd need to ramp up again, and there won't be any minor leagues left to send him on a rehab assignment to.
