Not quite sure how this team is where it is but good stuff.

Our SP outside of a few blowup games has been extremely good.

Since starting 0-4 they had scored the 4th most runs per game and posted the 2nd lowest ERA in MLB before tonight.

With tonight’s results rolled in they have a +32 run differential over the last 16 games.

The trip to Colorado certainly helped that runs per game total. Especially that 17 run game.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I can’t stand seeing the kids at the post game press conference

I can't stand the stupid questions.  Kids are just sitting quietly.

NFL reporters 100% better and there not even that good.

The Brewers won that game in Colorado by 15, they lost the Skubal game by eight.

Take out the biggest outlier on either side and their run differential is still +25 for the other 14 games (10 W - 4 L) this month.

But ultimately the run prevention floats the boat.

In the eleven games the Brewers won this month they gave up zero runs (x4), one run (x2), two runs (x4) and three runs.

In the five games they lost they gave up five runs (x2), seven runs, nine runs, and eleven runs.

This is the real message.
13 runs allowed in 11 games will produce a lot of wins.

They haven’t won a game this season when allowing more than 3 runs.

You’d prefer they give up more runs when they win games?

We have rotation and bullpen reinforcements coming if we need them. The lineup is what it is other than Perkins. I'm not worried about the pitching at all.

I imagine we will need to win a few 5-4 games.

Well, we have scored 5 or more runs in 8 of our 11 wins.  We’re bound to give up more runs one of these wins…

That’s a pretty bizarre interpretation.

It was simply pointing out a fact that highlights that pitching and defense have been the primary factor in the Brewers being above .500.

I guess I would prefer that they score more runs more often so they can win some more games.

Seemed like an overly negative (and wrong) way to point it out… not surprised you didn’t see it that way.

8 of the 11 wins the offense has scored more than 5 runs and 7 or more runs in 4 wins.

They’ve scored the 6th most runs per game this year at 4.85. We’re 26th in runs allowed per game.  So it looks like it hasn’t been the just pitching and defense as the primary reason we’re above .500.
