My guess is Murphy yanked Frelick for missing cut off man and Durbin for getting picked off.

just a guess but I think he’s had enough of the mental errors

Maybe that's it. They were both inexcusable. If so, the manager is getting fed up with the recent play.

The broadcast showed them both sitting in the dugout with no training staff with them or anything, and a benching would make a lot of sense.  Those are a couple of really dumb mental mistakes.

I’m fed up with Murphy,

His management of the players … pitching changes & substitutions … has been consistently bad.

I think he’s clueless & overrated … personality plus but no feel for the game.

Durbin made a mistake, but how does it improve the team to put Capra in the game when you need to score runs?

Another loss to a bad team … we are free falling.

How can Murphy be benched or held accountable for his recent & ongoing in game decision blunders?

Couldn't disagree more.  Murphy is a fine manager.  Only major game management mistake all year was trying to use Alexander as a setup man the other day.

When your bench is this bad not sure you can try to be the disciplinary.

Yes you can……because discipline is about more then one game.

Yeah I don’t think Murphy is the big issue……every manager will make decisions fans question

He’s certainly not the only issue … maybe not the primary issue … but he’s made his share of bad decisions with no consequences

There are a ton of guys in AAA who have never received the chance Capra has. Trade for one of those, it won't cost much and they can't do worse than Capra.

You are not wrong, but benching two players today may be the proverbial “shoot yourself in the foot”

No one benched Murphy when he made several boneheaded pitching changes & in-game decisions that didn’t pan out

The savanah bannans have guys who are better and they can dance too.

Come on…..nobody benches a manager……every manager gets 2nd guessed……every single one.

We should also remember that virtually every one of Murphy’s decisions ( especially the pitching ones) are collaborative……..that’s how it’s done these days……input from pitching coaches and bench coaches .

Do you remember Buck Rodgers in 1982?

That is true … but someone (the manager) makes final decisions

Murphy is the one in charge

Rodgers and Murphy aren't comparable. The players hated Rodgers.

They are comparable in that that are in charge

Maybe a few of the benched players today will start hating Murphy is that is what is required to remove a clueless manager 😉
