How on earth does Priester go longer than Patrick last night? I feel the team is trying to find reasons to make it easier to send Patrick down when others get healthy. To the tune of saying he doesnt eat up enough innings or something like that.

Do you remember Buck Rodgers in 1982?

Yes I do…….he had lost the clubhouse and had a veteran team…..he also wasn’t the manager of the year the season before.

listen I don’t love Murphy…….his personality rubs me the wrong way……but I’m not on the team and the players seem to like and respect him…….I doubt he is going anywhere.

Totally fine when Aaron Judge does it.

That was a completely different kind of play. Even though I think that was bogus, his “defense” is that throwing his hand up is part of his slide. It had nothing to do with taking a direct line to the base.

What made this one tough is that it isn’t entirely clear from the angle of the replay if Chourio was going in a straight line to the base, or if he veered  to his left and more on to the grass before throwing his hand up.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I actually thought the right call was made here. Looked to me like he checked where the fielder was, then veered left to get in the way, lifted the hand up and then had to make a sharp cut right to even touch 2B.

He’s certainly not the only issue … maybe not the primary issue … but he’s made his share of bad decisions with no consequences

No he's made decisions that haven't worked out at times.  That's because the game is played by players, not the manager.  There have been very few actual bad management decisions by Murphy since he took over.

I'm pretty neutral on Murphy myself. It's so very easy for us fans to critique moves made by the manager and blast him when they don't work out. He's been handicapped by having some pitchers that are completely unreliable over the course of the season. Death Valley on the left side of the infield, etc. Went to Bauers to pinch hit for a guy who can't hit in Ortiz with the sacks juiced and it doesn't work out and then gets blasted for having a guy in Capra come to plate later on who shouldn't be on a MLB team. How is that his fault? Bauers gets a hit and Murphy's a genius and who cares that Capra gets a late at bat. Doesn't work and he's a buffoon.

Megill really hasn't been all that good to start the year.  I am not sure he has looked good at all.  Fastball is there but he is looking like Turnbow up there.

Look out below. This is a team that is full of holes. .

we got spoiled with the bullpens the Brewers have had in recent years, and now it’s just one of many weak spots

Brewers didn’t lose 4 games in a row at all last season. This year they’ve lost 4 in a row two times in the first month. When you’re a team built to win on the margins and your bullpen stinks and your defense and baserunning have regressed, it’s difficult to win on the margins

Boy you wouldn't have lasted long as a fan of this team 20 years ago

Man, I have a special nostalgia for the Brewers of 20 years ago. I think I may have enjoyed them more than any other team in my life.

Weeks was here, Hardy was here, Prince was starting to get here. Braun was drafted. The foundation was being laid. The team won 81 games which was seen as a monumental accomplishment at that time. You knew they weren’t quite there yet, because the pitching wasn’t quite there but there was a buzz finally that hadn’t been seen in forever.

Miller Park was still very new. It was essentially the beginning of the post-Selig era. Everything was very exciting.

Yeah .500 was the pinnacle of success at that time.  It's 2025, the Brewers have won the division three of the past four years.
