I am ready to call a spade a spade. Ortiz is a bum with a capital B. The first part of last year was a mirage.

Or maybe the the SS position is to much for him, affecting his whole game.

Chourio looks to be pulling off everything .

Yes, by trying to pull a pitch 2 inches off the plate.  Not good cuz you can't pull an outside pitch.

Ortiz has one of the most brutal Savant pages that I’ve seen from a regular. And his 2024 was not great either.

Combined with average-at-best defense, he’s gotta be running on a short leash if he doesn’t turn the page in May.

Sadly, he’s not the worst of their problems. The offensive bar for shortstop is set so low. He’s merely below average for his position whereas players like Capra and Yelich  are much worse for their respective positions.

Another thing that Levering does frequently that bugs me is when he harps on a Brewer being “robbed” of a hit by an opposing player.

I don’t consider it a “robbery“ when a fielder makes a play that a major leaguer should make. And to me that catch by Robert in the first inning falls in that category. Even if the ball might have cleared the wall if nobody had been there,  I think the vast majority of competent major league centerfielders would have caught it.

I can't wait for Patrick to be sent down because according to the crew they have to much pitching. This dude is a quality starter. Hopefully he is here to stay.

Tobias Myers likely would be going to AAA than Patrick

He’s played SS his whole life…….I seriously doubt that playing there has anything to do with his hitting struggles……..he……like a few of our guy's…. are just not swinging it well right now.

Dillard, proving that technically correct is the best type of correct: "Haase is having a good road trip, batting .500."

Haase is 2 of 4 on the road trip.

Haase is 2 of 4 on the road trip.

Dillard just grates on the nerves for 9 innings straight……

Boy Chourio plays deep…….that ball would have dropped if Turang didn’t make a great catch.

Jackson Chourio is not a good outfielder.

If the Brewers’ goal is to get home early tonight, they’re doing a good job.

Might be time to bench Chourio on my fantasy team again.

When I did it last week he had two big games in St. Louis and I got a few hits out of him when I put him back on Sunday.

Back to the black hole this week.

Maybe do us all a favor and trade him for a bag of balls?

Good to see Yoho getting some high leverage pitching in today...

So much for the Brewers being great in the late innings in this series.

The Sox agree.

Sets them up for a rare win.
