That bunt attempt by that type of player should happen 80% more than it does in baseball. If you are a LHB and you aren't tearing the cover off the baseball and they give you first base with their defense ... take it every time.

I know situations are situational but again, that run is kind of on Bauers being unselfish.

He takes the free base bunt that is offered to him, which ultimately clears Capra in the inning and gets Contreras a 2 out opportunity in the next inning that he cashes in on.

 

*Edit* Yeli bomb. 3 runs that are *kind of* because of good non box score baseball by Jake Bauers.
