I was guilty of this too, but every publication is sleeping on Kuehner. He deserves to be firmly in the top 15, and probably top ten.

So much to get excited about with this farm system. A couple of things that have stood out to me lately:

The performance of Blake Burke since moving to Biloxi. An advancement to AA often can be a minefield for a hitter, sometimes even a dead end. But he actually seems to have upped his game & has flashed some power. The injuries to Wilken & Adams have opened a door for him that might've stayed closed until '26, and he kicked it wide open.

I was perusing Luis Penas' numbers. I doubt if anyone has ever kept track of such a thing, but how often has someone playing at the professional level driven in 100 runs at age 17-18? He has 97 RBI & won't turn 19 until the off season. It's just too bad he's so one-dimensional; he's only stolen 80 bases.

Fun times, and not just in Milwaukee.

From what I can tell looking at the FanGraphs 2024-25 minor league leaderboard sorted by age, Pena’s 97 RBI are 4th among 17-18 year olds these last two years.

Just ahead of Leo De Vries (95), and just behind Emil Morales (100) & Wilder Dalis (102).

But the undisputed King of Teenage Steaks appears to be Eduardo Tait with 134 RBI, mostly on account of having an extra 200ish PA on Morales, Dalis and Peña.

Kiley updated his Top 100.  Of note versus the usual is he has Luke Adams at 90 and has Adamczewski on in contention to be top 100.

I understand Adams goes about things in a little bit of an unconventional way, and at this point is pretty much a 1B only prospect, but out of 546 players with at least 1,000 PAs across all the minor leagues since 2023 his 148 wRC+ is tied with Xavier Isaac for the best in all of MiLB.

& he's been doing it all while being at least two years younger than league average (closer to three in Biloxi) each step of the way.

The problem is who do you move down out of the top 10-15-20 for him. There have only been a few top prospects who haven't performed well (or injuries have moved them down). I would guess Kuehner is a top 10 prospect in like 10 other organizations but for us I have him borderline top 20 still. The same can be said for guys like Melvin Hernandez and Manny Rodriguez, both have been amazing as teenagers but are both borderline top 30 guys because our system is so deep (velocity is a reason as well).
