DSL Brewers Blue just had the most DSL comeback I've ever seen. They just put up a 9 spot in the Top of the 7th (7 inning game) and this was how they did it.

walk, strikeout, single, double steal, strikeout, 2-run single, walk, hbp, walk, walk, wild pitch, walk, wild pitch, walk, walk, hbp, walk, pop out

9 runs on 2 singles, 8 walks, 2 HBP

Good.

The Dodgers had 6 runs on 1 hit going into the last inning.

The Low-A Mudcats trail this week’s home series with Fredericksburg 3 games to 1, but have 19-year old RHP Bryce Meccage (4.65 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 8.8 K/9 in 50.1 IP) ready to turn the tide tonight. CF Braylon Payne’s hitting streak is up to 9 games.

AAA Nashville holds our sole hope for a series win by a full season affiliate this week, standing tied at 2 games apiece at Durham. RHP Logan Henderson (2.80 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 11.0 K/9 in 83,2 MLB/AAA IP) gets tonight’s start. CF Drew Avans has 9 hits over his last 4 games.

Cooper Pratt (.725 OPS vs. league-average .662; with 20 SBs) returns to the AA Biloxi lineup after missing 6 games, with the squad struggling thru a 5-game losing streak. They host Birmingham and have RHP KC Hunt (4.80 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 9.0 K/9 in 65.2 IP) toeing the slab first tonight.

The High-A Timber Rattlers have lost 4 straight at home to South Bend. RHP Tanner Gillis makes his 2nd start since returning from injury (2 IP, 0 R, 1 K in 32 pitches last week). Despite being last in scoring in the Midwest League, 3B Jadher Areinamo (95) and 1B Blake Burke (92) rank 1st and 3rd in hits.

Meccage allowed a first-pitch homer, but has worked around 3 other hits and an HBP thru 3 innings.

An error and 2-out doubles from Payne and Pena have put Carolina ahead 2-1 thus far.

If the DSL Playoffs started today, the Blue would be in as one of the 8 Wild Card teams.

The new format awards the 8 Best awards beyond the Division winners.

Just noting, with no information yet received - feelers have been sent to the Complex - but 2B Josh Adamczewski was pulled late last night before his 4th AB. Finished 3 AB's and played defense thereafter. He was not in the line up today during the 8-Inning Loss. The obvious possibilities here appear to be:

(1) Planned exit with Rehab possibly over - ie sent to Carolina shortly

(2) Planned exit as part of the rehab plan with today off as a part of that plan

(3) Tweaked something and body indicated something was off

Hoping for the best!

Muddies led 2-1. Top of 9th. RHP Jose Nova had two down but a man on 2nd. 1-0 count. 3-2 now. New runner on second. Still two down. No va bien.

A healthy (or confident?) Payne, and a not slumping 3TO Bitonti along with the dynamic duo of Made/Pena make this offense look a lot better. And a very professional hitter who could DH or play the field would look nice - hopeful for a successful rehab and return to Carolina for Adamczewski.
