With Frelick, Turang, & Chourio (IL) not starting today, none of his leadoff guys were available. I assume Lockridge leading off will be the exception.

Perkins a better option?

He struck out once and hit 2 LOD outs including one over 100 mph

Perk decided to be Chourio tonight……..I approve

Gonna miss Chourio, but we are deep in the outfield. The IF depth is more shaky, but we’re well equipped to handle Jackson missing a month or so.

I would wait on that yet.   I do worry about yelich having to play in the field more.   He is so injury prone

Why would he have to play the field more?

Frelick, Collins, Perkins will likely play most of the OF

A quib about him making a misplay in the field and questioning him leading off is people hating?

I actually thought the lineup reactions were super mild tonight compared to what I expected when I saw it.

These game threads must drive you crazy every day if you think that is bad.

Search his name on Twitter and there’s bunch of people complaining about him already after he hit a LOD out

If you’re talking Twitter, X, any social media really, we could win 110 games and go undefeated in the playoffs to win the World Series and that would still be a cesspool.

I'll give Lockridge's .400+ OBP (and 14%+ BB%) in his last 501 AAA PA's a little credit towards a possibility that he may have an eye at the plate and might have the ability to get on base at an okay-ish rate at the big league level still despite a pretty horrid 100-ish PA start to his MLB career. Not betting on a huge role from him moving forward, but a few pre-arby years of nice depth from the guy would be great!
