Hamstring strains are so difficult to know and really are a case by case guess for how long it puts a guy on the shelf - location of where the injury happens, how it happens, and the type/age of player all factor in, too.  An MRI would basically confirm whether or not there is a significant tear or not, but can't do much predicting how quickly a guy feels well enough to be able to accelerate full speed without fear of stressed parts of the muscle tearing.

Hopefully after a couple weeks he's feeling well enough to start on a rehab assignment, which I'd imagine would get Chourio back in Milwaukee towards the end of the month.  Or does the 2-4 week timetable to back to when the injury first happened roughly a week ago already?

Is it 24 weeks? It’s 24 weeks, isn’t it?

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Mark should hire Jemile Weeks as an Assistant to the Associate Manager, then our team would have 2 Weeks.

Two Weeks, or not two Weeks, that is the question.

Well, 2-4 = -2 😏

Here I opened the thread to get an update on Chourio and got a bunch of bad jokes.... This is almost as good. 😂

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Bad jokes? I only see comedy gold being mined here.

They say sarcasm is anger filtered through depression. I was not prepared for the possibility of Chourio missing over a month until I opened this thread. IT WAS JUST A TICKLE!

Yeah, I know I'm much more concerned about the Chourio hamstring than Misiorowski's shin, that's for sure. I would describe myself as, "cautiously concerned." Part of me just thinks the team believes so much in their squad depth that they really just want to get Chourio to get fresh for the playoff push, physically and mentally.

Dude's still a kid and probably could use some encouragement to not try to rush back.

Why is it so difficult to make some thing that sounds good? - Page 4 ...

With no Mitchell, and now Chourio out for however long, I'm wondering what the contingency plan is for CF in case Blake gets hurt. Is it Lockridge?

Yeah, Lockridge would get more starts. Frelick can also play CF if needed. Not ideal because Collins probably has to go to RF to accommodate Yelich in LF. I don’t think you can really play Yelich anywhere in the field except LF at this point in his career unless it’s on an emergency basis.

But they could limp by for a couple weeks assuming Chourio makes it back by the end of August. My guess is Lockridge would start most days.

I meant I was wondering if Lockridge was the backup plan to Perk in CF. But yes, they probably trust Sal there instead if it came to it.
