That 2008 game 3 is why I will always be a Dave Bush fan.  I even friended him on Facebook and got him to wave at me from the visiting bullpen a few years ago when he was the Red Sox pitching coach.  (I have photo evidence of the latter but not right at hand to post here)

Brewers magic # is 28: "magic number" is the minimum number of combined wins by the leading team and losses by the second-place team needed for the leading team to mathematically clinch division title. (Not sure if that included yesterday's games.) With only 33 games left.

You’ve got the right formula, but we’re actually at 27 on the Cubs right now, 28 on the Phillies for #1 seed and 20 on the Reds to clinch any playoff spot.
