If he's going to call that a strike off the outside the plate, he needs to do it every time, not selectively.

I think, discretion being the better part of valor, I would just about almost trade an L for no extra innings today. I know you never are supposed to concede, and that isn’t the team’s DNA, and that is good, but the situation becomes that much tougher it we have to pitch another couple innings or more here.
