It's a tough situation BP-wise tonight. Can't fault Freddy too hard for 5 scoreless, but this is a game where you'd like the approach to be a bit more aggressive. Just not gonna happen with him.

I don’t think people understand how precarious this position is now.  At the trade deadline I was worried if our infielders went down that we had no backups.   Now we are going to play monasterio at ss for 15-20 games.   We are not playing good enough to win a bunch of 3-2 games.     I think we’ve done well to hang around .500 these last 10 games or so but this could get ugly.   At some point you need Major League Baseball players.     Thank hod we got a cushion but any kind of 6-7 game win streak by the cubs and that butt hole is going to be tight 

 

with our guys I wouldn’t be worried but we are a Turang or even Durbin injury away from siegler and monasterio for the playoffs     Jesus
