Go out and trade for Danny Jansen so he can try to bunt with two on and nobody out lol

Traded for him because he "has some pop".  🙃

This is only the second time all season (per MLB gamelogs) that he's been used in back to back days

He's been pitching a lot of innings, though.

Just overexposed. He plays waaaay to much. Another Murphy issue he has favorites. Perkins is one of them.

His hitting limits him to spot start and late inning defense IMO.

Sure but what I'm guessing 5 of 7 or something like that. The guy has a injury history a mile long. Why push it?

It really bothers me when a pitcher like Ashby absolutely dots the edge of the strike zone like he did on the first pitch of this AB to Marsh only to not be rewarded by an umpire who is bad at his job.

Great point.   Great job Ashby.   Let's get this one today, so we can feel a little less pressure in Pitt.   I get the games count the same in the standings, but another game up on Philly would be nice.

When is Trevor eligible to come off the DL?

I was thinking Ashby for another inning after getting the first two outs on 4 pitches, but, alas...Maybe he'll still go the 7th?

This could get interesting with the rested pen guys being not the highest-leverage guys.

Well I think the intent is clear lately. They are getting away from the multi-inning outings for Ashby and prefer him in more frequent, shorter outings. At least for now.
