Pirates are on a bit of a heater right now going through a 12-4 stretch and having won series against the Blue Jays, Red Sox and Dodgers, the last of which was a sweep. Can't take anything for granted here.

Too many awful series in PNC Park against bad Pirates teams to take anything for granted there. And this team has been playing better since they shed some of the veterans.  Unfortunately they still have Brian Reynolds

The Brewers had to come from behind in the final game to salvage a split there in May. I would be happy winning 2 of 3 and getting out of town.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Bah!

We will sweep this inferior team,

just like we did in Milwaukee during our 14-game win streak!

Don't doubt the Brew Crew!

I hate Apple TV games, what are they trying to prove when only 10-12% of American homes have Steve Jobs Apple TV subscriptions. Just because there are no commercials in between innings?

Seems like a scheme to sell more subscriptions 🙂

How's that working for ol Stevie Jobs when 90% of America doesn't subscribe.  Steve Jobs once said "I finally cracked it, I will revolutionize the TV business".  So why has Apple TV ever made it after years of Apple TV and his high-profit margin business?

Oops, I didn't realize Jobs died in 2011 of a pancreatic tumor.  Its CEO Steve Cook I dislike now and the Cubs.

Lol I was going to say, Steve Jobs doesn't care much at all these days.

It's also the last Apple TV+ game for the Brewers this year. I like their baseball broadcasts *shrug*

That is funny but glad this is the last one.  I watched three Apple TV games in my life and not impressed.  Bill Schroder, Brian Anderson and Jeff Levering are OK by me.

I just looked and Apple doesn't release numbers but its estimated they have over 40 mil subscribers. It was estimated around 25 in 2022.  So yea they're doing very well and they do really well at awards time too.

that said, I can't imagine MLB drove out new subscribers all that much so I'd generally agree. Granted, I did it last game. Its $10, and you get a whole month so the game plus a month of binging their shows for $10 isn't bad at all. Especially when a burger at mcdonalds is like $13 now.      But the nfl on the other hand when Amazon did it for the first time a few years ago it worked just how they wanted, a record spike in subscriptions because of it. usa is just nuts about the nfl, as someone who's blah on nfl it still blows my mind.

Cubs continue to face trash cans. If the Nats could even take 1 game in that series, I’d be happy.

Probably not today as the Cubs already have a quick 5 against the pitching staff the Brewers padded their stats against last month.

When the games are on Apple TY I opt for the Brewers radio feed in place of their announcers who seem to treat the game as a sideshow while they chat about things.
