Yet you guys worship Vaughn on here who is a career .200 hitter while he had a 4 week hot stretch

If Bauers ever had a month that was ever close to what Vaughn had then this point might be valid.

I don’t worship Vaughn. I’ve said numerous times that he’s given us a lot of special and memorable moments over a fun summer but there’s a lot of reason to doubt if he’s the long-term guy at 1st. Same as Rowdy Tellez did.

Man Priester was an incredible acquisition (so far, and knock on wood).  Fingers crossed he’s got lasting power.  More data on Chris Hook’s brilliance and organizational know-how.

I don't think anyone here worships Vaughn or doesn't realize a snap back to reality was gonna come.    Some jokers were fun at the time though I'm sure

Also, even if Bauers had any kind of stretch or past akin to just what Vaughn had on CWS when he was young the point might be valid.    He had  back to back seasons with 750ish OPS and around 20 hr 75rbis for two seasons not that long ago

Absolute hats off to Priester. I’m totally guilty of bemoaning how he looked in the early innings especially with the short pen, all of the sudden you look up at the scoreboard and he gave us 7 innings and 2 runs which is EXACTLY what we needed.

Priester man.

I trust him more than I trust Freddy … he goes longer in games & gets more outs in his 95 pitches

What a trade

Milwaukee has it’s third playoff starter & it’s not Misiorowski

I think there was some hope when Vaughn got here after awhile that maybe some adjustments were made and, even though the 1.000 OPS obviously wasn’t sustainable, maybe a really good hitter was.

At this point I’d lean toward he’s probably not the guy, even though of course everything he’s already done is more than worth giving up Civale.

He’s a better player than he showed with the Sox, though.
