I'm a big fan of Miz and think he can do great things - that being said, get him out of the game.

15 wasted pitches leading to a pair of walks after your team plates 4.  1st thing to go when you get tired is command.  They jeepntalking about a bullpen role in the playoffs for him, and that is honestly the last thing I want him to be doing - just asking for jams/walks and blowup innings.  Shut him down once other relievers are back available

Miz has just got to make pitches.    At this point in his early career he’s going to walk guys but he needs to forget about that and focus on next batter.    He’s learning

hes got stuff to get out of bad spots

I'd like to see him go nine.

He was what, top 10 prospect?  Way over hyped.  He needs to be shut down.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I think it's a mental thing. He needs to get it figured out.

Not a mental thing.  Like all pitchers it comes down to repeating their mechanics.  This has always been a problem for Miz.  It is also why scouts believe he is a reliever over a starter.  He has a hard time repeating his mechanics to stay consistent.  Mostly due to his height.  It is far harder for taller people to repeat their deliveries on a consistent basis.  Randy Johnson took about 2-3 years in the majors to finally figure out his mechanics.  Probably going to take Mis that long or longer to figure that out.  Having him in AAA doesn’t really help with that.  He needs to be with the big league club.  Probably one or two more starts before they move him to the bullpen.

Makes sense. I say it's a mental thing because he tends to fall apart after a walk or base hit.

Randy averaged nearly 6 walks per 9 innings through his first 5 years. Guess they should have moved him to the bullpen long before that time.

Pitch selection with Miz has been brutal. Mccutchen is 38 and instead of just blazing him with 100mph we speed up his bat with 94 slider. It is insane.
