Call me crazy, but I'd honestly rather have the two. Takes playing the Cubs before the NLCS off the table.

You're crazy. I want us at home as often as possible. The players do too. Your own bed, your own facility, your own routines. I couldn't care less who the opponent is if we are trying to win the whole thing.

Also, if one is worried about the Cubs at all, it's way worse to lose to them in the NLCS than the divisional round. 😅

I get the rule with < 2 outs as you can't assume Johnny Estrada is coming home. With 2 outs, that runner should not be stopped at 3rd.

You really need an objective rule for balls going out of play like that with no kind of interference.

There are some situations where the runner obviously would score, some where he obviously wouldn’t, and every point in between.

You have to minimize situations where there is a judgment call on where a runner would have ended up.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Fair. I tend to think that stuff is overrated, but I've never played big-league ball.

All of the teams in the playoffs  are going to be tough to beat with their $300 million dollar payroll players bearing down.

The main reason I would want the Brewers to avoid the Cubs is to avoid having half of the crowd in the home games cheering  for the opponent.

Didn't help that Chourio spiked the throw back in.

I also thought he definitely had a play on Smith’s single and hit the brakes and laid up pretty early.

I have no rational reason other than I don't want to beat them over 162 and lose to them in October.

I guess being rested isn’t  necessarily the solution for the bullpen.

I think the Cubs are getting bounced in the wild card so I am not thinking about losing to them. I want the 1 overall seed. I want to start every series at home. And I want to win the pennant and title in Milwaukee.

Yeaaaah, I don't think we're going to do that tonight with Ashby looking like this.

Ah, so this is what it looks like to play a team that's been hot the last couple of weeks? I sure hope they play a lot better than this in October, or else it'll be another short post-season for the Brew Crew.
