Next week is going to be interesting.   I’m assuming Peralta and Priester make their starts but will be short ones.    I wonder if woodruff is skipped altogether or just pitch a couple of innings

But there is most likely going to be 16 position players on the PS roster.

There is pretty much zero chance of 16 position players on the Brewers postseason roster.

The Reds are suddenly in a plum position for the last wild card spot.

They’re one game behind the Mets and one game ahead of the DBacks and hold the tiebreaker over both. Plu,s, after playing the Cubs tomorrow they have a home series against the Pirates before coming to Milwaukee for the final weekend.

The Mets have road series next week against the Cubs and Marlins while the DBacks finish with the Dodgers and Padres, who are still fighting for the division title.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Hoskins doesn’t fit this team.    He can’t play any other position.   We already have that with Vaughn.   Then watch the at bats that Vaughn had tonight.    He fits the team way better than Hoskins.    Bauers is going to make the team.   Hoskins is useless to this team.   I wish him well

Who are your fifteen then? I'm not saying you're wrong but

Two catchers, the regular INF + Monasterio & the 'extra' 1B, Yelich, Collins, Chourio, Frelick & Perkins. I think Lockridge gets a call. If you don't want Hoskins do you want Black? Seigler? I don't see them needing a twelfth pitcher. Haase & Urias aren't on the 40-man & would require them being added.

I don't have Hoskins as a dog in the fight, I just don't think it's cut & dried yet.

The first games of the NLDS aren’t until Saturday 10/4.

I wouldn’t think they’d want any of the pitchers to go too long without throwing a few innings. Plus, they will need the starters to cover a few innings to keep the relievers from throwing too many.

The final game on  Sunday might feature 9 pitchers throwing an inning each.

I’m guessing Peralta and Priester will go five or so.   I bet woodruff will only go a few.    I bet they have lots of call ups to go innings all week.    I’ve never even heard of this Zimmerman guy

Just a little bit off topic but I think Oli Marmol is a snake as a human being.  There is something about him I just do not like or trust at all. Just tactless I guess.

Haase is going to have to be added.   I don’t think Contreras is going to play much this week

I watched the replay and the batter swong so late the ball was completely 100% in Contreras glove before he started swinging. That should be reviewed by the MLB because it is just more Cardinal Oli Marmol dirty baseball.

IMO Hoskins is a 100% roster keeper for the payoffs.

I think they go full steam ahead. They want homefield through the world series.

Sunday would normally be Quintana's start.  Wonder what is going to happen in the pitching department Sunday.

He's a Cardinal. Your feelings are valid.

Murphy said as much after the game, and I would think purposefully inducing a catcher's interference call would be a violation of The Cardinal Way.

Certainly NOT! just making a little joke about someone saying, at a low point, that we should bet a grand on the baby bears.
