Getting swept by the Padres would be a good thing.

Cub's getting eliminated in WC series in SD would be much better for us.

They will beat SD in Wrigley, and then they will come for us.

For the guy flexing their beer muscles saying, "I want them now"  (be careful what you wish for).

I would rather play SD than CHI any day of the week.

Just stop, man.

So can't say I predicted first inning grand slam but not surprised to see that Zimmerman isn't competitive at the MLB level.  Not really upset with the Brewers for starting him because they're in a bad way right now.  Just frustrating.

It would be just like the sports Gods to bestow a Wisconsin sports team a regular season run like no other like our big run this summer, only to take it all away and shatter it because we are fielding a AAA team at the end of the season with all the injuries.

I won’t waste another night watching the Brewers fade to the end of the season. Awful decision to start this dude. Another loss. Why play the game. Just forfeit & avoid potential injury. This looks like the beginning of the end to a great season. I understand these are not must win games but it would be better to be playing well to start the playoffs. This feels like 2021 on repeat. 🤮

good night all!

Well just turned this game off - I was doing that often way back in April and May.   Better not get to the playoffs and bow out weakly again.   This is bad ju ju.

I would argue vehemently, and I think with a very strong case, that this is NOT the best team in Brewers history and that it has not had the best regular season, even if they do break the franchise record for wins in a season.

I don’t think it’s even close when you compare this team to the 1982 team that had two Hall of Famers in the prime of their careers plus two others near the end of their careers and added another in September for the stretch run. The competition in the AL East of 1982 was a lot tougher than what the Brewers have faced this year.

I can see that. Before my time. I can see an argument for 2018 too, based on the final couple weeks and the 96-win total. I probably overstated things. It's certainly an all-time regular season.

At this point I am at peace with whatever happens the rest of the regular season. If we lose every game from here on out, we will probably be the #2, but not worse than that, we will still win the division and not be playing any wild card games. We will get a week off and get a 5 game NLDS series with HFA to rest up and hopefully get hot and as healthy as we can try to get. That’s all we can really ask for right now.

Man, that good feeling from July/August has just been completely erased. This team is playing April/May baseball again at the worst possible time.

The next phase of the Pitching Lab should be to figure out how to not get all of our pitchers hurt so we don't have to start the year with one starting pitcher and end it with Eric Fedde and Bruce Zimmerman on the team.

If I were managing the Brewers, I might have them get some base runners before two are out in the inning. Seems easier to score runs that way. (11th inning last night notwithstanding)
