Based on what? Just because of the win record? Notably a single hot streak long removed from?

Their starting pitching is horrid without Woodruff. Peralta is the ace and doesn’t go 6 innings half the time. It leaves almost no room for error and we need Peralta to be good and win those games.

The offense is good, but it also doesn’t exactly excel at the one thing that typically wins postseason ball, homers. Good hitters, pesky…but stringing a bunch of hits together becomes rare when you get to big boy pitchers (not what the Cubs have)

Record. Run differential. Top 3 in offense and defense.

Obviously having woodruff would make a big difference

First game against Boyd Chourio hit leadoff and went 3-3. Why on earth is Yelich leadoff? How is this not the story?

Because Pat Murphy is the smartest man in the room because he won 97 games, and if he makes a drastic change to a lineup that worked well in Games 1 and 2, we should just go with it.

It's tough to defend how Murphy screwed around with the lineup that knocked Boyd around in game one. He's got it in his head that Yelich is a leadoff hitter and no matter what the result, he's going to go with it.

To be fair, he got on in the first and the next three guys had really bad at bats.

After two years of challenging almost every decision Murphy has made, I tried to join the “Pollyanna” forum members who only see what a “swell” guy Murphy is … & I posted a topic praising Murphy … now he is showing me that I may have been right all along

I’m losing my mind over him going away with what worked perfectly the first two games and didn’t work for the entire month of September.
