To be fair, he got on in the first and the next three guys had really bad at bats.

He’s paid to drive guys in and not draw leadoff walks for God’s sakes.

He’s paid to be a good baseball player in whatever capacity that is

Peralta with 70 pitches in the third. Get ready to ride the pen hard to finish this one only to go into an elimination game with a bullpen game.

I’m losing my mind over him going away with what worked perfectly the first two games and didn’t work for the entire month of September.

Yeah, the first 10 posts saying the same thing kinda gave that away....

Peralta has kind of sort of settled down a little bit.

We have got to stop pressing and at least scratch out a run to get this crowd a little quieter and get the Cubs on their toes a little bit.

Where has all the confidence and swagger gone? They look scared at the plate?

Like they can't see the ball.

It would be nice if he got on base with runners on instead of leading off an inning.

Cubs fans are a nervous lot. Score a couple and they will be quiet.

There's a guy that works in my general group. I know of him, but don't really "know" him. Saw him in a Packers jersey a few weeks back, and didn't think much of it. Lots of Packers fans. Then this week I saw him wearing a Brewers hat, and I finally IM'd him "So, where'd you grow up in Wisconsin? I could see anyone being a Packer fan, but no one who grew up outside of WI would willingly choose to subject themselves to the pain, angst, and teasing that this franchise constantly inflicts on their fans?"

And, yeah. Sheboygan.

I just wanted to win 1 freaking series. Just 1. Just show something in the playoffs. Especially after last year. Just win one blasted series. The regular season means nothing when 12 teams make the playoffs. No Cub fan will look back on this season with disappointment "Oh damn it, we didn't win the NL Central. Wasted season!" They will be bummed if they lose the NLCS but they will have something to look at positively with 2 series wins at least.

I'm so sick of this.

Don’t forget Badgers football under Fickell

They don't choke they just suck.

The Packers and Brewers invent unbelievable ways to fail in situations that it's nearly inconceivable to do so. It's not en vogue to just be bad. You have to be good but find a way to choke. You can throw the Bucks in for honorable mention too. Losing to 7 and 8 seeds, losing a playoff game up by 8 with 30 seconds left or whatever.

The Packers and Bucks at least have trophies to hang their hats on. This team doesn’t even have a World Series appearance (since 1982 anyway, which I find out during every rain delay)

Well nobody else can get on base, so.

Sure... I'm a fair weather fan.  The problem is we have seen this story soooooo many times.

I'm sorry that I got excited about this team.  I should have figured the noose would tighten up.
