Dodgers (Snell) vs. Brewers (Ashby): NLCS Game One Thread - 10/13/2025 @ 7:08PM

Our offense just doesn’t have any elite hitters to be facing phenom aces when they are even remotely on. Sure they scored a bunch and were pesky all season…but that involves a lot of middling pitchers faced. You don’t string together hits and stolen bases facing Snell.

Yelich and Contreras are good…but there is not a single person in our line-up to be even slightly scared of. So far, the difference is one of those types of hitters we don’t have.

Just wait until Ortiz gets his 4th look.

We’d have to go on one hell of an offensive run for Ortiz to get a 4th AB tonight, so I’d take it.

I know its not how the game is played anymore...but when you have elite offspeed and you are throwing it for strikes, the change in velocity plus movement can make today's hitters look completely overmatched.

Snell can reach back and give a guy 96 with movement, too - Brewers hitters havent proven they can adjust to all the offspeed so he simply isnt giving them the fastballs they still are hoping to see.

Camera angle made that one look like it was gone

At least until they went to a random shot of like 15 fans in the stands while the ball was still in the air.

Yelli has done nothing.

Exactly. If the hitters start hitting that change up he simply throws more FB and your timing will be way off again

He’s dialed in. Throwing strikes with everything

Yeah I think that is probably spot on. I don't know what else the Brewers can do about it though.

Freeman absolutely destroys us in the postseason.  Can’t continue to throw RHP at him.

He's just a really really good hitter

It’s 1-0.   All it takes is one hit.

I’m sure if the Brewers started hitting his off speed stuff he would adjust and start throwing that 97 MPH FB more

The issue is he’s throwing literally everything for strikes

But a bloop and blast is all you need

Dodgers hitters are fouling off some pretty damn good pitches.  Been doing it since like the 3rd inning.

That been our game plan all season.

Snell struck out 13 against the Phillies last start with 0 run and the Phillies have some damn good all star hitters

He also only has thrown like 70 innings this year overall so he’s pretty fresh

Now they are making Megill throw too damn many pitches...  More than likely, we'll need him tomorrow night, but if he throws too many pitches, that isn't gonna happen.
